Westfall Family

I met these five cousins down at Shevelin park.  With the wide age range and an impending storm threatening to cancel the shoot, I was nervous that we wouldn't be able to get anything good.  

Luckily, in just forty minuets we were able to get some amazing stuff.  I'm in love with the individual portraits.  You can tell each of these kids have strong personalities.  These are some of my favorite photos yet!

Nansee, Jim, Sisco, & Gidget

I met Nansie at her gorgeous property out in Tumalo.  With beautiful yellow fields and trees framed by the Three Sisters, we got some great shots of her and her horses.  

Her large paint, Sisco, is a Tenesee Walker and a complete lover.  Gidget, a POA along with her dog and cat complete the black and white spotted family.   With six chlildren, these two are anything but empty nesters.  I love the pictures of Nansie with Sisco but my real favorite are of Sisco sneaking in a lick on Jim's face.

Kellie, David, Sean & Dylan

I met the McDonald family on one of those deceivingly beautiful days in central Oregon.  It was beautiful but cold. Shockingly cold. Although this wasn't quite the spring photoshoot that they McDonald family was hoping for, I think we got some great pictures.  I love the black white photographs (above) of the kids, especially baby Dylan. 

Glessner Family

Set on an heirloom/heritage farm, with Andriya and her two sons, this was easily one of the most entertaining and fun shoots.   Andriya didn't want anything too posed or serious, and was really looking for photos to reflect her family.   Her sons were mostly up for the challenge.  Together, they climbed trees, made pyramids, and spent some time on some old farm equipment.

Andriya's sister owns an organic heirloom farm (I'm green with envy) and the extremely friendly turkey jumped into many of the pictures (along with their schipperke).

Lauren, Devon, Lucy & Lulu

I met Lauren and Devon and cold crisp day in Shevelin Park.  We had already had to reschedule for a blizzard warning, so in comparison this weather seemed lovely.  Luckily, Lauren and Devon seem to be warm blooded and managed to look warm against the frozen background.

Lauren purchased a photography package to get some great pictures of her older dog Lucy.  She also brought her small chihuahua Lulu.  Lucy had found Lauren after escaping from the humane society a few years back.  After returning her, Lauren decided to officially adopt her.

Bell Family

The Bell family braved the snow with me along with their two dogs.  Lyssa and her daughter Rose were originally from Tennessee and were looking forward to showing off their photos to their southern friends amongst pine trees and snow.

Rose and her basset hound, Freckles, were put on a warm face and let me get some great photos of the two of them.

Clasen Family

Every once in a while I get photograph a friend.  This week, I got to photograph a family of friends.  I have known the Clasen's for as long as I can remember.  Elyss and I met when we were about three years old at our waldorf preschool and introduced our parents.  Our families got together for potlucks, skiing, sledding, and everyother gathering imaginable.  For the last decade, I have spent Christmas and the Clasen's amazing house in Sisters Oregon.  They are my second family and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph them.

There is no end to photographic places on their 100+ acre ranch.  The barn, swingset, teepee, giant field, everything.  Not to mention the original homestead on the property, which is still standing.

 

Blomgren Family

I met this family at their gorgeous house on the east side of Bend.  It looked like a typical beautiful house from the front, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wilderness and horses in the back.  I was even more surprised by the pillow fight that happened in the last ten minuets.

Their son, Bryce, has amazing facial expressions and personality in the photos.

Tricia & Viktoria

I met Tricia and Viktoria on another wintery day in December.  We were on a time crunch because Viktoria was dancing as a sugar plum fairy in the nutcracker that afternoon.  This mother daughter pair were both photogenic and might have some sort of secret modeling background.

Adelman Family

I grew up with Julie, the beautiful mom in this family, in Tumalo.  Now she lives in Portland with her husband Scott and their twin sons Orion and Mason.  I mostly see Julie on facebook when she's running marathons or posting pictures of her family's adventures 

They were visiting Juli's parents over Thanksgiving and contacted me to take some photographs for their Christmas card.  We chose Shevelin park because Juli and Scott got married across the road at Awbrey Hall.

This was the second shoot that I did with their family, and thankfully, the boys did not think I was their babysitter this time.
